Consistent sectioning @ 4um
Designed to work with “all” kinds of Blocks

from soft GI blocks to
hard uterine blocks
Fast Moving Small Batches

Batch Facing starts
Operator digitally cycle through blocks across
multiple Robotomes to finalize the facing depth

Facing Ends
Autonomous Sectioning starts
Robotome takes over during the sectioning phase by
deriving sectioning protocol data based on block barcodes

User unloads 1st 15 slides
Each Slide cartridge can be individually unloaded and
transferred to staining for efficient pipelining

The “Quality” Ingredients
Block Chilling Perfected
Patent pending time x temperature controlled uniform surface chilling ensure blocks never chip during facing.
Continuous Blade Chilling
Improves upon conventional microtomy by minimizing compressions & slowing down wax accumulation at blade edge.
Adaptive Blade Switching
Sections are continuously scanned for blade related defects and blade is robotically shifted / switched once its spent / damaged.
Real-time QC post slide-pickup
Sections on slides are scanned at high resolution to detect artifacts before the block is switched.
Slide to block traceability
Robotome always scans & matches block barcodes to slide barcodes to ensure traceability.
Eliminating Cross Contamination
The patent-pending water based section cutting, transport & pickup system implements a flow based contineous cleaning mechanism entirely eliminating the risk of floaters.

The Robotome Difference
Tiny details, big on impact
Designed for greater control, across the board
Cost Control
Robotomes needs NO NEW Consumables.

Robotome can pickup up to 3 sections per slide
repeatability at a repeatable offset on the slide

Robotome prolongs the ROI on blades with
1 - Custom chilling mechanism for blade
2 - Robotic shifting of the blade within the blade holder
3 - Reusing sectioning blades for facing in a cyclic fashion
Safety First
Robotome makes it safer to handle blades given its fully robotic in nature
Accessibility
Robotome supports a special mode that enables over the network control
1 - A remote histotechnologist can face & section blocks with real-time cameras in place
2 - The onsite tech may only need to handle the loading & unloading of blocks, slides & blades

Support for LIS integration to pull grossing notes / other parameters to automate sectioning & facing protocols to the next level
